I wrote the following song shortly after my previous husband died in 2003 when I was wondering what I should do next (“What now, my Lord?). Part of what He has led me to do for many years is play accordion and sing gospel songs for senior citizens. (The picture above was taken at one of our town’s annual tulip festivals when I’d been asked to play accordion for the Dutch dances.)
..
I love you, Lord! You’re mine forever.
You’re my Redeemer, King and Friend.
You’ve paid the price; Your blood has saved me.
You gave me life that will never end.
You’ll never leave; You’ll hold me tight.
The devil’s lost, You have won the fight.
What now my Lord? What shall I do
to let you know how much I love You?
You gave me peace that I can’t fathom,
an inner joy in the midst of pain.
I want to be Your chosen vessel.
“To live is Christ, and to die is gain.”
You’ll lead me on o’er land and sea.
To be with You is where I want to be.
What now my Lord? What shall I do?
A yielded life shows that I love You.

This is one of eight songs I’ve written which are on a CD called Testimony & Praise. It also has accompaniment tracks of the same songs. If you leave your name and address in the comments section below, I will send you a copy of the CD, free to the first five, and donation by check for the others. God bless you.
