“For you shall go out in joy, and be led forth in peace;
the mountains and the hills before you shall break forth into singing,
and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.”
Isaiah 55:12
The Trees are dancing today. I love looking out my back window to see them joyously swaying in the breeze, dressed in their beautiful, green finery. Not long ago, they were bare, cold branches. And some still are. But most of them now seem to be praising God for life and health and every good.
This could be a picture of recovery from grief. Grief contains bare, cold, hopeless feelings at times. But finally, another spring comes. Growth is gradually restored. Color returns to our lives, and our spirits begin to
dance joyously, praising our Creator. We give Thee thanks, O Lord, for spring.
