The Biblical book of Isaiah gave me hope at a time when I felt like I’d been “robbed and plundered, trapped in holes with no one to rescue.” (see Isaiah 42:22). As I read this, I realized God understood my situation. He rescued me from Satan’s trap and drew me into his heart.
In the first book I wrote, Rescued by God’s Mercy, I told how Isaiah’s inspired words helped me repent and grow into a joyful intimacy with God who forgave me, rescued me, and eventually restored to me what Satan had robbed. I then wanted to share with others that God longs to restore us all to fellowship with himself, to spiritual and emotional health.
