Prophecies of Christ:

1. Genesis 3:15-A descendant of Eve would defeat Satan.

Genesis 12:3- a descendant of Abram would bless the entire earth.

Genesis 49:10-He would come from the line of Judah son of David.

Deuteronomy18:15-He would be like Moses, a Jew who would lead people out of slavery.

2. Psalm 118:22, Matthew 21:42-He would be rejected, but later become most important.

3. Psalm 132:11-The coming Messiah would be a descendant of King David.

Isaiah 7:14-He would be born of a virgin and be Immanuel, “God with us.”

4. Isaiah 9:2-Messiah would live in Galilee and bring light to people who have lived in darkness. Isaiah 9:6-7- He would come as a baby, but will someday rule over Israel.

5. Isaiah 11:1-10-This Messiah would eventually rule over all people in a glorious kingdom.

6. Isaiah 25:1, 4, 6–9. The Lord, the Messiah, would defeat death.

7. Isaiah 42:1–9. The Messiah, God’s Servant, would be faithful, just, righteous and perform miracles.

8. Isaiah 49:1–9a. God’s servant was called to bring Israel back to God, and also offer salvation to the Gentiles, to the ends of the earth.

9. Isaiah 52:13–15, Messiah would be lifted up, disfigured and marred, for us- Isaiah 53:1–12.

10. Isaiah 59:16–21. God himself brought salvation through the Messiah, the suffering servant.

11. Isaiah 61:1–11, Luke 4:16–21. Jesus is the one God anointed as his Messiah.

12. Daniel 7:13–14. The Ancient of Days gave the Son of Man authority, glory and sovereign power to rule over all nations forever.

13. Micah 5:2-The Messiah would be born in Bethlehem. Micah 5:4-5.

14. Zechariah 9:9–12, Messiah would come as a king of peace and will set prisoners free.

15. Zechariah 12:10, 13:1, Messiah would be pierced and a cleansing fountain would appear.

16. Malachi 3:1, and 4:5- A messenger would prepare the way for the Messiah.
