How I Was Rescued By Mercy (Segment #1)

“This is a people robbed and plundered, trapped in holes with none to rescue…” (Isa. 42;22)pit, cave-1149023_960_720

This Bible Verse gripped my heart because I felt “robbed and plundered.” Although I’d been a Christian since the age of nine and a half and dearly loved Jesus, yet at the age of 38 and a half, I slipped off the path of obedience and found myself (figuratively speaking) in a “pit” wondering how it happened and how to get out. The book of Isaiah spoke to my heart and eventually helped me regain an intimate, joyful relationship with God.

I recently wrote a book-length Bible Study about this called Rescued By Mercy: A Personal Journey Through Isaiah, (or alternate subtitle: Rescued By Mercy: Isaiah Proclaims God’s Mercy For Broken People.) Agents and Editors have told me it is well-written, but they can’t accept it because I don’t have a large enough platform. I believe conveying what I’ve learned from Isaiah can help many people regain spiritual health. Therefore, I am trying to build up my platform. One way to do this is to blog regularly to generate interest in my writing. I plan to use portions of Rescued by Mercy, as well as of other things I am writing (or have written).

If you like what I write and give comments and share it, you can help me build my platform so I can interest agents and editors in publishing my book. Even if you don’t like it, you can help by commenting and engaging in conversation about it. I would really appreciate if you share your opinions. Every time you comment and share, you help me build my platform.

My purpose in writing Rescued By Mercy is to help people grow closer to our merciful God through studying Isaiah’s many wonderful messages. Please subscribe to my blog by entering your name and email address and comments following this post. I will include a question or two at the end of each Post to help you think of something to say.

Today’s discussion questions:

      1. Have you ever felt life just didn’t treat you fairly—or like you had made a mistake and slipped into a mess?

mud crawl-919224_960_7202. Have you ever felt like Satan robbed you of something you felt sure you should have?

There are times when I felt Satan robbed me or that God took away something from me. The old saying is that hindsight is 20/20. Looking back over my life, I realize that everything God took away from me was hindering my walk with Him.

I think the title (including subtitle) is rather long. How about if you simply call it: Rescued by God’s Mercy?
