My latest book, Divine Claims of Jesus Christ, is now for sale at Barnes & Noble and at Amazon. I’d like to tell you a little about it:
Many people in many countries of the world today are persecuted. They are in danger of imprisonment and even death if the authorities or certain groups of people find out they believe that Jesus is who he said he is. Yet, these Christians keep on sharing the good news in every way they can.
Why?
Why would people take a chance on sharing about Jesus, if they know they are in danger of persecution? And why do the persecutors continue?
Jesus said the greatest commandment is to Love God and love each other. He said, “If you love me, you will obey what I command” (John 14:15 NIV) Christians who love God are often helpful to others by providing food, wells for clean water, Bibles, rescue, medical help, etc. So why do their enemies persecute them? It seems they should be drawn to them instead.
Why do Christians forgive people who have hurt them? Because Jesus said to do so. Who was this man, and why does he still have such a profound influence over people?
In this book, I hope to answer this question by telling of the many claims Jesus made about himself, what others said about him, the numerous miracles he performed, and prophecies which he fulfilled.
As his disciple John, who wrote the fourth Gospel, said, “These are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing, you may have life in his name. (John 20:3 NIV). Jesus is coming again to bring those of us who believe in him with him to Heaven. Yes, it matters whether we believe in him or not. This life he wants to give us is the greatest gift we could ever receive.
